This badge was designed and distributed in 1973. It was worn by Adelaide members of the Gay Activists Alliance.
It is a reminder that this kind of activism was concerned with much more than just law reform, and that all forms of discrimination were challenged. This badge reflected a time when exposure as a homosexual person could, and often did, result in job loss.
