This badge was designed and distributed in 1972. It was worn by Adelaide Gay Liberation Front members.
It was the first Australian design for a gay liberation badge by prominent gay artist and activist David McDiarmid. The design references a lightening strike, which in turn symbolises the political activity known as the ZAP used to confront those committing homophobic activities.
