Charles Glover was a businessman, public benefactor, book collector and three times Mayor of Adelaide. He became the first Lord Mayor in 1919.
This silver trowel was presented and used by Glover on the occasion of his laying the foundation stone of the Masonic Temple at Orroroo on 16 August 1922.
